When I presented my drivers license to the check in person this morning I was informed that I could NOT vote because I was previously sent an absentee ballot... I informed the person that I did request an absentee, but I did not receive it and I wanted to vote... She then referred me to another person at a seperate table... After explaing this to the second person they attempted to contact someone downtown several times and was not able to get through... After several minutes of people exchanging "what should we do" I was told that I could complete a provisional ballot, which may not be considered by the judge... They explained that if a provisional ballot is cast it is subject to review by a judge and others... When I asked how could I find out if my ballot was considered I was informed that I would have to contact the county seven(7) days after the election to find out... I have no idea what happend to the ballot that they claim was sent, all I know is that I did not receive it... I wonder how many others had to go through this?? I also wonder how many will not question it??? This is a said state of affairs and I can not believe something this important is not handled more professionally.. Signed -a very disapointed voter!!! Gary W. Davis... note: I cast my provisional ballot at Grace Baptist Church on Van Dyke Rd...
