Early voting in Pasco County has been suspended for Tuesday by order of the Office of Emergency Management of Pasco County, said Supervisor of Elections Brian Corley.

“Pursuant to Governor Crist’s Executive Order issued Aug.17, 2008, an elections emergency shall be declared in any county that has declared a local state of emergency,” Corley states in a news release.

Should Pasco County remain under a state of emergency, early voting will be suspended through the duration of the governor’s order. Early voting will begin again, and will continue through Saturday, once the state of emergency is lifted.
