Due to the approach of Tropical Storm Fay, Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo will be closed Tuesday, August 19, during regular operating hours, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Zoo tentatively plans to re-open on Wednesday, August 20 depending upon the severity of the storm and any related damage. The Zoo School, which provides daycare, preschool and kindergarten programs, follows the Hillsborough County Public School (HCPS) calendar. If HCPS announces closures due to inclement weather, the Zoo School will be closed also.
