Hillsborough County Solid Waste Management Department residential (household garbage, recycling and yard waste) and commercial solid waste collection services are suspended Tuesday. Residential solid waste customers should properly store garbage containers until normal collections resume Wednesday. If you were scheduled to receive residential solid waste (household garbage, recyclables and/or yard waste) collection service Tuesday, you may set out twice the amount of household garbage on your next garbage pickup day Friday). If you are scheduled to receive residential recycling or yard waste collection service on Tuesday, you may set out twice the amount of recyclables or yard waste on your next recyclables/yard waste collection day for those services. In addition, community collection centers; northwest and south county transfer stations, southeast county landfill and Resource Recovery Facility will be closed Tuesday. These facilities are scheduled to reopen Wednesday.
