Editor's Note: The following is reprinted from Roy Cummings' "Bucs Report" blog.
TAMPA - The Bucs have made their way onto the practice field for the first of their mini-camp workouts this morning and it seems as though all who were expected to be here are here.
RB Earnest Graham, who told The Tribune on Saturday that he'd end his holdout from workouts in time for the mini-camp, is in uniform. We'll let you know just how much work he does today and what kind of shape he's in.
QB Chris Simms, who put his chances of attending the mini-camp at "50-50'' is not here. We're not really surprised. Simms really wants to be moved off this team and this is just further proof.
This absence, though, will cost Simms. He stands to be fined $8,000 a day for missing the workouts this week, which run through Thursday. If he skips training camp, he faces a fine of $14,000 per day.
Don't look for that to happen, though. If Simms is still a Bucs come late July, he'll be at camp. That's what he said two weeks ago when he last talked to us and Simms has always been a man of his word.
