The injury-riddled Tampa Bay Buccaneers are still recovering from that physical 20-17 loss to the Atlanta Falcons.
Receiver Michael Clayton (knee) did not participate in Wednesday's practice and is not expected to play Sunday at Carolina as Tampa Bay seeks its first road win of the season. Seven injured Bucs were limited in practice, including four starters.
Tight end Kellen Winslow (knee), defensive end Stylez G, White (hand), cornerback Aqib Talib (hamstring) and left tackle Donald Penn (knee) had limited participation, along with receiver Maurice Stovall (thigh) and defensive linemen Roy Miller (ankle) and Michael Bennett (toe).
The Panthers don't appear to be in any better shape than their NFC South rivals.
Eight Carolina players failed to practice Wednesday, including quarterback Jake Delhomme (finger) and the powerful backfield tandem of DeAngelo Williams (ankle) and Jonathan Stewart (Achilles).
Matt Moore, who has thrown only 12 passes in the past two seasons, is expected to start for Delhomme, who has thrown a career-high 18 interceptions and is saddled with a 59.4 passer rating.
Coach John Fox said he has not officially ruled out Delhomme, who is 9-2 against the Bucs.
