University of South Florida freshman linebacker Sam Barrington was arrested today for a misdemeanor charge of driving with a suspended license, according to Hillsborough County Sherriff's Office records.
Barrington, 18, initially was pulled over in Tampa last month and had a suspended license after failing to set up a court date related to unpaid parking tickets, USF assistant athletic director Chris Freet said. Barrington turned himself in this afternoon.
Barrington, of Jacksonville, was released on $250 bond this afternoon, according to Hillsborough County Sherriff's Office records.
USF coach Jim Leavitt had no comment.
USF's first practice is Aug. 6.
