The home of Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety Sabby Piscitelli was burglarized, and a lawn crew discovered the break-in Sunday afternoon as the team was playing the Green Bay Packers, police said.
Thieves ransacked the home and stole a flat-screen television, police said.
The lawn crew was in the 5600 block of Interbay Boulevard about 2:25 p.m. and noticed the rear doors of Piscitelli's home had been forced open. The crew reported the discovery to a neighbor, who called police.
At the time, the Bucs were earning their first victory of the season at Raymond James Stadium.
Piscitelli, who attended Oregon State University, was a second-round draft pick of the Bucs in 2007.
The investigation is ongoing.
