The former Tennessee Titans punter who gained fame during the preseason for hitting the videoboard during the inaugural game at Cowboys Stadium is a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
A.J. Trapasso, an undrafted free agent out of Ohio State was signed to the Bucs' practice squad on Thursday, Bucs general manager Mark Dominik said.
"He's a young punter that we want to take a look at,'' said Dominik.
Trapasso also earned headlines this preseason for scoring a 40-yard touchdown off a fake punt against Buffalo in the Hall of Fame Game.
Trapasso is no stranger to the end zone. He was a running back in high school who scored 50 touchdowns.
The addition of Trapasso gives the Bucs a backup option should Dirk Johnson go down with an injury or struggle.
