The NFL Draft is nearly two months away yet already there is talk of the Bucs trading down in the first round.
While that may eventually happen, NFL draft analyst Mike Mayock says it's way too early for Bucs fans to get caught up in the trade-down hype.
"The hardest thing about trading down finding a trading partner, largely because of the money involved in signing a top 10 pick,'' Mayock said during a recent conference call.
"The other thing is, you've got to have somebody sitting there at No. 3 that somebody else wants, and to me - in this year's draft - that's going to be one of those two defensive tackles or maybe the quarterback Sam Bradford.
"If someone thought for instance that Washington was going to take Bradford at No. 4 and they believed in him that much, then maybe they would move up to get him there, but it's hard to know.
"So to me, you're going to have one of {those three players) sitting there or I don't think Tampa has a chance to move down, and because of that I don't think it will happen until they're actually on the clock.''
