Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Shaun King was arrested in Riverview Sunday morning, accused of driving drunk, according to jail records.
King, 33, of 1646 41st St., St. Petersburg, was stopped at U.S. 301 and Holland Road at 2:12 a.m., according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office website. He refused to take a blood-alcohol test and was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence, a misdemeanor. He was released after posting $500 bail shortly after 10 a.m., according to jail records.
King, who grew up in St. Petersburg, played for the Bucs from 1999 to 2003. He played for the Arizona Cardinals in 2004 and retired after that season.
King hosts a radio show on WQYK, 1010 AM, and is a football analyst for Bright House Sports Network.
