Bulls land men's basketball commitment

The University of South Florida men's basketball team has picked up a verbal commitment from Jordan Omogbehin, a 7-foot-3, 295-pound center out of Atlantic Shores Christian in Chesapeake, Va.

Omogbehin, a native of Nigeria, also was being recruited by Oklahoma and Georgetown, among others, according to his high school coach, Walt Webb.

"He's very, very aggressive. He's definitely going to command the double team, and he's going to help so long as you've got some shooters," Webb said. "Big East competition in the paint is very physical, but he's not going to have any problems with that, at all."

Omogbehin, a senior, had a minor knee injury over the summer, Webb said, but is fully recovered. He is attending his third high school, with previous stints at Montrose Christian and National Christian Academy, both in Maryland.
