Tampa Bay Lightning captain Marty St. Louis missed practice Wednesday due to injury.
The team said St. Louis was day-to-day with a lower body injury.
St. Louis took a shot from Drew Doughty off his foot while killing a penalty early in the third period of Tuesday’s 5-1 victory against the Los Angeles Kings. St. Louis finished the game, registering two goals and an assist, including a late insurance goal.
His status for Thursday’s game against the Minnesota Wild was uncertain.
St. Louis has not missed a game due to a game-related injury since he broke his leg at Pittsburgh on Jan. 23, 2002.
St. Louis missed two games in 2005-06 due to a broken finger sustained during practice and was struck in the eye during a morning skate at Madison Square Garden in 2011-12, an injury that stopped a streak of 499 consecutive games played.
