Earl Gatson will get his first taste of coaching this weekend when Tampa Bay Christian makes its six-man debut against Veritas Prep at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in Pinellas Park.
Gatson, 25, has experience with six-man football, and expects to have 12 players in uniform for his debut with the Rams.
Up until two weeks ago the Rams were set to play 11-man football before their season was canceled due to a lack of numbers.
'With these kids, the talent is there,' Gatson said, who was hired last week. 'But the rules are different and there are things we're trying to get them to understand. But we're making progress.'
