Robinson jumped to an early first-half lead, and capitalized on two fourth-quarter turnovers to earn a 24-21 win at Sarasota Booker on Friday night. Booker (4-4, 1-2) had four turnovers overall, and also had four dropped passes in the fourth quarter of the Class 3A-District 11 game.

After Aaron McRae returned a Robinson fumble 57 yards for a touchdown on the first play of the fourth quarter to give Booker a 21-17 lead, the visiting Knights (2-6, 1-2) countered with a 10-play, 53-yard drive that was capped by fullback Robert Smith's game-winning plunge from one yard.

The Tornadoes stalled on their last drive when a pass was batted down on fourth-and-1 from the Robinson 40.

BERKELEY PREP 35,

EVANGELICAL CHRISTIAN 14

FORT MYERS - Berkeley Prep gave itself a boost ahead of next week's decisive game against Frostproof with a big win against Fort Myers Evangelical Christian.

The Buccaneers rode the duo of twin brothers, Julian and Jordan Crockett, as Julian ran for 125 yards and two touchdowns, while Jordan accumulated 89 yards of total offense and a touchdown.

After the Sentinels tied the game 7-7 with a 13-play drive in the first quarter, Berkeley (6-3) made adjustments defensively to hold an offense which had scored 50 points in consecutive games in check.

"We regrouped and started to do some things stunt wise with our lineman," said Buccaneer coach Dominick Ciao.

"They are a hard fighting football team," ECS coach Brian Lynch said. "They just beat us off the ball and really won the game with their lineman."
