Henry McCloud scored three touchdowns and Tampa Catholic won its first game of the season Friday night, a 31-7 victory over Sarasota Cardinal Mooney (2-1).
McCloud scored on runs of 1, 6 and 2 yards, as the Crusaders, who lost their first two games of the season with several starters out, took advantage of five Cougars fumbles and two interceptions by quarterback Robby Lyons.
Following a Matt McLaughlin 28-yard field goal that put Tampa up 10-7 in the third quarter, a fumble by Lyons on the snap from center was recovered by the Crusaders on the Mooney 12.
From there, they scored, with McCloud taking the draw from quarterback DJ Williams and running it in from the 6.

KISSIMMEE - Quarterback Aaron Destaw ran for three touchdowns, and passed for two more as Faith Christian moved above .500 with a win against Kissimmee Heritage.
Faith Christian (2-1) also got a pair of scoring plays from its defense on a safety by Daniel Hamilton and a 22-yard interception return by Eldrith Smith.
SANTA FE 43,
CAMBRIDGE CHRISTIAN 16
Cambridge Christian got touchdowns from Micah Lewis and DaMarcus Faison, but were unable to overcome an early deficit against Santa Fe Catholic.
Santa Fe had just taken a 21-0 lead in the second quarter when Lewis returned the ensuing kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown

CARROLLWOOD DAY 0
Moore Haven scored three times in the final five minutes to take a 20-0 lead at halftime to beat Carrollwood Day. Darius Bing had 50 yards and Leon Cusick 30 yards on the ground for Carrollwood Day (1-2).
