No. 3 singles player Chris Story won the deciding match Friday as Land O' Lakes defeated Wesley Chapel 6-1 to win the Class 3A-District 5 boys team tennis title at Sunlake.
Story defeated Salmon Dewji 8-1 as the last singles match to be completed and gave the Gators a 4-1 lead. Land O' Lakes' other singles winners were Colin Roller (No. 1), Brandon Vang (No. 2) and Domenic Dolente (No. 4). Wesley Chapel's only winner was Stephen Diamantas at No. 5 singles.
The schools were tied with 19 points after the two-day tournament at River Ridge. The Gators will host Oviedo Hagerty and Wesley Chapel will travel to Daytona Beach Seabreeze on Tuesday.
