Nelson Agholor shredded the Frostproof defense for 285 yards and three touchdowns to lead the unbeaten Buccaneers to a 41-6 Class 3A-Region 3 semifinal win on Friday.

"Nelson is a special player and the defense was stellar," Berkeley Prep coach Dominick Ciao said. "This was a team win. We came out and executed on both sides of the ball."

Agholor served notice early that he came to play with a 14-yard touchdown run that capped a six-play drive on Berkeley Prep's first possession of the game.

The Buccaneers (11-0) increased their lead to 14-0 when quarterback Destin Nichols hit Christian Hardegree with an 18-yard touchdown pass.

Agholor closed out the scoring in the first quarter with a 55-yard run and finished the first half with 190 yards rushing.

In a scoreless second quarter, Frostproof's Jake Smith broke free for a 57-yard run to the Berkeley Prep 23, but the Buccaneers' defense threw quarterback Zack Jenkins for a 1-yard loss at the 5-yard line on fourth-and-goal.

Frostproof took the opening kickoff of the second half and drove the ball to the Berkeley Prep 12-yard line, but the Buccaneers' defense stopped the 16-play drive.

Agholor scored again on a 77-yard run in the third quarter.

Berkeley Prep's Chris Williams, who finished with seven carries for 61 rushing yards, scored on touchdown runs of 30 and 8 yards in the second half.

Frostproof's Smith, who accumulated 174 yards rushing for the night, scored on a 47-yard run late in the fourth quarter.
