Tampa Bay Tech's flawless performance against Freedom on Friday night sets up a Class 7A-District 7 showdown next week. The Titans will play host to Gaither to determine the district title.
"Tonight was the first time we put together a complete game," coach Jayson Roberts said. "We stayed focus and executed well."
It didn't take long for TBT's offense to make its presence known against Freedom.
TBT scored on 9 of 13 possessions, all by different players — starting with Lamarq Caldwell's 73-yard touchdown run on the first play from scrimmage.
The Titans' defense also displayed a stellar performance led by Andrew Green's four sacks and Armani Sampson's 21-yard interception returned for a touchdown.
With the win, the Titans become a perfect 4-0 in district play as they set up for a district championship showdown against Gaither.
Freedom closes out its season next week at home against winless Wiregrass Ranch.
