Dunedin quarterback Anthony Diviney ran for 120 yards on 12 carries and Teddy Aloizakis booted a 29-yard fourth-quarter field goal, lifting the Falcons.
With 2:23 left in the third quarter, Blake quarterback Zain Gilmore and receiver Earvin Williams hooked up on a touchdown play when Gilmore rolled right, was flushed left, broke two tackles and just before hitting the sideline, threw a 32-yard pass to Williams just inside the pylon to put the Yellow Jackets up, 18-16.
Dunedin then used a smashmouth running game to control the ball.
“It was all the offensive line,” Diviney said.
Black coach Harry Hubbard concurred with Diviney's assessment.
“On tape, they looked like a good running team and I thought their line, both offensive and defensive, would be the difference in the game,” Hubbard said.
Play was halted early for an altercation in the stands.
Bucs offensive guard Davin Joseph was honored at halftime for his foundation's financial contribution to the school.
