It took a little while to get going, but once it did, there was little stopping Tampa Catholic.
TC (3-0) mostly bulled straight ahead, but with a variety of backs, including Jordan Rich-Rogers (20 carries, 95 yards, touchdowns of 1 and 2 yards), Corey Bennett (six carries, 132 yards, touchdown of 79 yards) and Trevor Register (six carries, 35 yards, touchdown of 13 yards).
For Bloomingdale (2-2), the trouble started early in the second quarter with a couple of penalties that helped keep TC drives alive and poor starting field position that limited the Bulls' rushing game.
Through the first quarter, it not only looked feasible that the Bulls could win, but almost looked probable.
Bloomingdale's early highlights included shutting TC down on two drives and rushing at will with Eugene Baker, who had seven carries for 68 yards, including a 29-yard touchdown run.
Baker, who came in averaging 135 yards a game, finished with a game-high 152 yards on 17 carries.
The loss is the Bulls' second straight after a promising 2-0 start to the season.
