Running back Daniel Hamilton and Cambridge played spoilers, handing Indian Rocks its first loss of the season.
The Golden Eagles struck first with an impressive seven-play, 70-yard drive that was capped with a quarterback sneak from Casey Woods. However, on the ensuing kickoff, Hamilton returned it up the middle for 83 yards and a touchdown.
On the next possession, the Lancers intercepted a pass and returned it 30 yards to the 2. One play later, Hamilton scored the second of his three touchdowns.
After falling behind at the half, Indian Rocks made it interesting in the third quarter by scoring two touchdowns in 24 seconds. The Golden Eagles had the ball, down by six, and were driving with 4 minutes left in the game. But an interception proved to be too much to overcome.
Following the turnover, the Lancers controlled the clock by handing the ball off to Hamilton, who finished the game with 97 yards rushing.
