Wharton High School football standouts Chase Litton and Rocky Enos were arrested on felony charges Wednesday related to recent break-ins of dwellings and vehicles, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
Litton, 16, the Wildcats' starting quarterback last season, was released on his own recognizance after being arrested and booked at the Orient Road Jail.
Enos, 16, a junior linebacker, was arrested at Wharton and released Thursday morning from the Orient Road Jail.
Each faces charges of third-degree felony burglary of unoccupied dwellings and vehicles, as well as theft (articles valued from $300 to $5,000). Both are also charged with petit theft.
Litton, a sophomore, is also a starter on Wharton's basketball team, which is scheduled to play Plant tonight in a district final.
Both student-athletes were honorable-mention selections on The Tampa Tribune's 2011 All-Hillsborough County team.
Wharton football coach David Mitchell could not be reached for comment.
