Lions quarterback Matt Stafford had a record-setting day in Sunday's 38-37 victory against the Cleveland Browns.
The Detroit rookie probably won't get a chance to repeat his accomplishments on Thanksgiving.
Lions coach Jim Schwartz said Monday that Stafford was "extremely sore" after sustaining a separated left shoulder on the next-to-last play of the game, and that he wouldn't play against Green Bay unless the pain subsides.
Stafford was injured while throwing a desperation pass into the end zone as time expired. The Browns were called for pass interference, and after a timeout, Stafford came back to throw a game-winning touchdown with no time on the clock.
BILLS: Starting right guard Eric Wood is recovering after surgery to repair a broken left leg that was so severely damaged CBS elected against showing replays of the hit.
BROWNS: Coach Eric Mangini is questioning whether the Detroit Lions faked injuries to slow down Cleveland's no-huddle offense.
Mangini, who bemoaned the final, chaotic seconds of Cleveland's 38-37 loss Sunday, noted the Lions had several players leave the field injured, only to return. Mangini was asked if he was accusing the Lions and Coach Jim Schwartz of faking injuries.
"I'm just saying there were a lot of them," Mangini said Monday.
"He's way out of bounds on that," Schwartz said. "That couldn't be further from the truth. Both teams were running no huddle, and the officials did a very good job of standing over the ball."
According to the official play-by-play, there were six different instances when the Lions had players leave the game with injuries - all of them returned.
COWBOYS: Released kick returner Allen Rossum.
CHARGERS: San Diego police say they're investigating a claim that defensive back Antonio Cromartie hit someone in the head with a champagne bottle at a bar.
Detective Gary Hassen said a witness claimed Cromartie threw a champagne bottle but the Pro Bowler says it slipped from his hand.
DOLPHINS: Nose tackle Jason Ferguson will miss the rest of the season with a quadriceps injury.
JETS: The team said wide receiver David Clowney's Twitter account has been hacked, and a series of expletive-filled tweets are not being written by him. Clowney has more than 6,700 followers.
PACKERS: Cornerback Al Harris and linebacker Aaron Kampman both will have season-ending knee surgery.
RAMS: quarterback Marc Bulger will be sidelined three to six weeks with a fractured left leg sustained in Sunday's loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
Bulger underwent two MRI exams Monday, one on his groin and hamstring and a second for what the team believed was a swollen knee.
RAVENS: Cornerback Fabian Washington is expected to miss the remainder of the season after hurting his knee during Sunday's loss to the Indianapolis Colts.
SAINTS: Brought back former starting cornerback Mike McKenzie to replace cornerback Leigh Torrence, who will miss the rest of the season with a shoulder injury. McKenzie was released by the Saints in the offseason.
STEELERS: Backup quarterback Charlie Batch injured his left wrist after replacing Ben Roethlisberger during an overtime loss in Kansas City and could miss the rest of the regular season.
