Report: Shanahan meets with Bills

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. --

Two-time Super Bowl winner Mike Shanahan met with the Buffalo Bills to discuss their head coaching vacancy, according to a published report.

ESPN.com on Wednesday reported Bills chief operating officer Russ Brandon traveled to Denver and spent seven hours meeting with Shanahan on Monday night and Tuesday morning. Shanahan was quoted as saying he had "an excellent meeting."

Shanahan said the sides agreed to stay in touch to see what develops.

CARDINALS: Quarterback Kurt Warner (concussion) went through practice and plans to play Sunday.

CHIEFS: Put cornerback Maurice Leggett (shoulder) on injured reserve.

GIANTS: Running back Ahmad Bradshaw (sprained left ankle) and linebacker Antonio Pierce (bulging neck disk) have been ruled out of today's game vs. Denver.

RAMS: Running back Steven Jackson (lower back spasms) missed practice but expects to play against Seattle.

TEXANS: Safety Eugene Wilson (two broken toes) will have season-ending surgery.
