If Brooksville Nature Coast coach David Pisarcik is really living the dream, then he will still be sleeping - at least until Saturday.
The Sharks, with four players in double figures, did everything right Tuesday in a 76-58 thrashing of Ridgewood in the Class 4A-Region 2 semifinals.
Nature Coast (27-3) advances to Saturday's region final at Orlando Oak Ridge. It is Nature Coast's first region final appearance.
Ridgewood saw its two-year home winning streak come to an end at 26. It is the fourth consecutive year the Rams (26-3) have ended their season in the region semifinals.
"We're just living the dream right now," said the 29-year-old Pisarcik. "Before the season, our slogan was 'One team, one dream.' Before the game, I told my coaches 'I feel like I'm in a dream.'
"To be in the elite eight, that solidifies us as becoming a powerhouse in the area."
Nature Coast dominated from the beginning, jumping to a 15-6 first-quarter lead and increasing the margin to 32-19 at halftime.
Sharks 6-foot-9, 230-pound sophomore center Tyler Bergantino had a double-double (13 points, 10 rebounds) by halftime.
The Sharks finished with four players in double figures in points - Adam Smith (18 points), Bergantino (17), Blake Lowman (16) and Guan Whitsett (11).
