What talent do you have that not too many people know about?
I'm a really good pool player (laughs). Me and (David) Price have a pool table at the (spring training) house, and we've been playing a lot. I'm just really good at pool playing.
Is there a car out there, old or current, that you would never be seen driving?
What's those little bitty cars? The Smart cars? I would never drive one of those. They're too small and they look bad.
If you could play for any coach outside of baseball, historical or current, who would it be?
Phil Jackson from the Lakers would be a pretty cool coach. And I like the New Orleans Saints coach, Sean Payton. I like his coaching style.
What's the most amazing thing you've ever seen an athlete do?
I've seen Joey Gathright (Blue Jays, former Ray) jump over a car back in his younger days. That's pretty amazing. Not too many people can just hurdle over a vehicle. Other than that, watching LeBron James dunk and do some of the other amazing things he does.
What is your earliest baseball memory?
My earliest baseball memory for me ever is in T-ball when I was playing Maurepas, La., where my dad's from. It's a very small town. I remember batting left-handed and the team would shift to the left side. My dad would say turn around and hit it right-handed. I would turn around and hit right-handed and run around the field.
