Having went to high school at Shattuck, how often does Sidney Crosby's name come up as a former alumnus?
Well, that's one of the names you hear but usually you hear (Chicago's Jonathan) Toews or (New Jersey's Zach) Parise. But when Crosby is in town he usually comes down to see Coach (Tom) Ward, who made a huge impact on him. So you always hear Crosby, Parise and Toews along with other guys down the road like (Ryan) Malone.
Now that you are expected to play for Fargo next season, is watching the movie "Fargo" required before heading to North Dakota?
Yes, I've been told by many, many people that you have to watch this movie, even if you don't like it, you have to watch it. But I haven't seen it yet.
Not too many hockey prospects come from your hometown of Philadelphia. The Flyers stated they were one pick away from selecting you. Have you thought about what it might have been like to be picked by your hometown team?
That would have been really weird. But Tampa came right at a good time and it was exciting.
