Antonio Bryant signs $28 million deal with Bengals

Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers receiver Antonio Bryant signed with the Cincinnati Bengals, the Bengals announced Wednesday.

The deal is for four years and worth about $28 million, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Bryant is the third former Bucs player to leave via free agency, joining safety Will Allen (Pittsburgh) and receiver Brian Clark (Detroit).

Bryant, 29, joined the Bucs in 2008 after a year-long exile from the league. He steadily established himself as Tampa Bay's best offensive threat, catching 83 passes for 1,248 yards and seven touchdowns.

The Bucs made Bryant their franchise player in 2009, but he spent the better part of the season struggling with knee problems. He was second on the team in catches with 39 in 13 games.

Tampa Bay coach Raheem Morris announced before the start of free agency the team would not bring Bryant back for 2010.
