The man who has been to every Super Bowl is downright giddy about this one.
That's because Tom Henschel's beloved Pittsburgh Steelers are playing in the big game this year.
Henschel, a native of the Pittsburgh area who spends part of the year in Tampa, is one of four men featured in a Visa television commercial as members of the "Never Miss a Super Bowl Club."
He's flying to Dallas, attending a Visa party Friday and then attending the game with more than 100,000 other fans Sunday.
This year, because of the commercial, he gets two free tickets to the game instead of having to buy one at face value. That means he gets to take his wife, Regina, for the first time in about 20 years.
"I'm like a little kid in a candy store," says Henschel. "I can't wait to get there."
It will be the eighth time that he has seen the Steelers play in the NFL title game. He's seen them in the Orange Bowl, Rose Bowl and even Raymond James Stadium two years ago, when the black and gold beat the Arizona Cardinals.
That marked Pittsburgh's sixth Super Bowl title, more than any other team.
"I'm feeling a little greedy," says Henschel, who grew up playing the game as a youngster in football-frenzied Pennsylvania.
He says that nothing matches the excitement of being able to watch your favorite team in the big game.
And to be able to watch tradition-rich teams such as the Steelers and Green Bay Packers square off, Henschel says, it doesn't get any better than that.
"These are two old teams with so much history," he says.
And just who will win?
Henschel is quick to point out that he not only predicted the Steelers would beat the Cardinals two years ago in Tampa, he also predicted the final score right on the nose: 27-23.
This year, he's expecting a nail-biter. He thinks the Steelers will take it again, this time by the score of 27-24.
"I'm really petrified for this game," he says. "I think it could go down to the last team that has the ball. It's going to be a toss-up."
