The Big East Conference and Conference USA signed agreements to remain tied to the Beef 'O' Brady's Bowl St. Petersburg through the 2013 college football season, ESPN and the conferences announced.
The Sun Belt Conference also signed an agreement to provide a team should there be an opening.
The third edition of the game will be played at 8 p.m. on Dec. 21 at Tropicana Field and televised nationally on ESPN, which operates the bowl game.
The Big East is 2-0 in the game, originally known as the St. Petersburg Bowl. Last season, Rutgers beat Central Florida, 45-24. In the inaugural game in 2008, South Florida beat Memphis, 41-14.
