COLLEGE: Bachelor's degree in education from University of Missouri (1978); master's degree in counseling from University of Missouri (1979)
FAMILY: Wife's name is Jody; one daughter, Deandra.
COACHING: Graduate assistant, University of Missouri (1978-79); defensive coordinator, University of Dubuque (1980-81); special teams coordinator and defensive coordinator, Morningside College (1982-87); graduate assistant, University of Iowa (1989); linebackers coach and defensive coordinator, Kansas State University (1990-95); head coach, University of South Florida (1995-2009).
