Rapists Often Known To Victims
Sixty-three percent of the 548 people who reported a sex crime within city limits from 2005 to 2007 said they were attacked by someone they knew, Tampa police say. Most often, that someone wasn't close - not a relative or a romantic partner - but an acquaintance.
