Use this database to find the leaders of selected non-profit groups in Tampa Bay and how much they receive in compensation. The list includes arts societies, hospitals and charities that feed the poor. All have one thing in common: They enjoy tax-exempt status in return for providing a public service. Read the Dec. 13 story from the Tampa Tribune and go here to see the video report Dec. 14 on News Channel 8. Would you like to see another charity added to this list? Send an e-mail to reporter Mark Douglas.

About this database
Names are spelled and titles included as they appear on each Form 990, a report filed annually with the Internal Revenue Service by tax-exempt organizations. The most recent Form 990s available were used. In some cases, two years’ worth of records are provided. Charities included in the database were chosen, in part, for variety and their impact on the community.
