More than 400 people and businesses in Florida are licensed to own what the state classifies as “reptiles of concern” or “venomous reptiles.” Use this database to see who has one in your neighborhood or if your neighbor has a license to keep that python or anaconda.

Enter a category to narrow your search or click “all” to see the complete database. See the key at the bottom of any results page to determine what types of animals a license holder can possess. Click “map it” to see a license holder’s location. Click a column header on a results page to rank information numerically or alphabetically. Florida’s Fish and Wildlife Commission licenses current as of July 2009. Use the following key to determine the types of snakes living at listed addresses:

IX= not authorized for Class I venomous reptiles
IIX= not authorized for Class II venomous reptiles
IIIVR= authorized for Class III venomous reptiles
IIIZ= authorized for Class III venomous reptiles
IIIV1= authorized for Class III Burmese pythons
IIIV2= authorized for Class III Amethystine/Scrub python
IIIV3= authorized for Class III Reticulated python
IIIV4= authorized for Class III African Rock python
IIIV5= authorized for Class III Green anaconda
IIIV6= authorized for Class III Nile monitor
