As the popularity of wireless devices such as iPhones and Blackberrys has grown, so has the demand for towers to support the antennas that allow those devices to function. Wireless companies and other companies have spent the last decade erecting hundreds of towers across the Tampa Bay region. Each tower is licensed by the U.S. government.
