Together, Barack Obama and John McCain have raised about $1 million for their presidential campaigns from donors in Hillsborough, Pasco and Polk counties since they kicked off their campaigns in 2007.
Democrat Obama has the overall edge in how much total money he's drawn from the three counties since last year. But Republican McCain has picked up steam and raised more total money locally between March through May than did Obama, according to latest campaign filings with the Federal Election Commission
