I am somewhat dismayed by the recent letter concerning "loud aircraft." I also hear the aircraft but instead of being bothered by it, my wife and I enjoy the sound. The sound of the aircrafts indicates that our military is being trained. Training in a safe zone helps to enable the members of our military to perform their missions and return safely from the combat zones. ...more

TAMPA Rallies by those who opposed Amendment 2, the so-called marriage-protection measure that won approval last week, will be held Saturday in Tampa and St. Petersburg. Amendment 2 defines marriage as a legal union of a man and a woman and bans same-sex marriages.
