I see a lot of complaints about how things are going, but few solutions. I will try to give a few here. First: We should make drugs legal. This would save billions in law enforcement and bring in billions in taxes (like what happened with liquor). It would also take away a lot of money from al-Qaida and Taliban terrorists. Second: Bring home all of our troops on foreign soil. We could use the billions that it is costing for infrastructure repairs and put thousands back to work. ...more

This administration and the legislators in the majority have prepared a "pay in advance" tax plant to bank deficits, guaranteed by the passage of universal health care. Universal health care will begin in 2014, and taxes to fund it will begin in 2010. ...more

Are we seniors so complacent about our government-run health care plan (Medicare) that we can be seduced into believing that we have the best health care in the world? Health insurance companies and the pharmaceutical companies are spending millions in advertising and lobbying our legislators as to how wonderful our present health care system is: Really? A Harvard study released in September reports that 45,000 Americans die each year because of lack of insurance. Let's put that in perspective. On Sept. 11, 2001, terrorists killed 3,000 Americans. It's unbelievable that members of the U.S. Senate on both sides of the aisle are receiving so much resistance to make low cost prescription drugs from other countries available to Americans. The same worn-out arguments still are stopping this process and all it really comes down to are pharmaceutical manufacturers not wanting lose the billions in profits. ...more
