SEBRING — When it's a matter of life and death, seconds make the difference. In case of a life-threatening emergency, if a patient can reach a level one trauma center within 60 minutes (the golden hour), the odds of survival are much better, said Steve Coltharp, interim paramedic director of Highlands County Emergency Medical Services.
