Students at four Hillsborough County schools will have a chance to attend workshops on paying for college when the Sallie Mae Fund's bus tour stops in Tampa Monday and Tuesday. The fund, a charitable organization Sallie Mae sponsors, partnered with the Hillsborough County School district to bring the workshops to Lennard and Durant high schools on Monday and Leto and Alonso on Tuesday. Scholarships worth $250 each will be awarded at Lennard, Durant and Leto. The Alonso workshop will be conducted in Spanish and include a $1,000 scholarship. All are free. ...more
