They can stay out of third-and-long situations. The Bucs have converted only 27 percent of third-down plays when they needed to gain 6 yards or more for the first down. That's not an unusual number. What is unusual is that the Bucs have faced third-and-6 or more 51 times already. It is hard to play winning football when you have to play so many difficult downs. Playing penalty free will allow that number to drop and the Bucs' chances of winning to rise. ...more
