The playoffs are the stuff of legends. Have you forgotten Derrick Brooks' interception in San Diego? Or Ronde Barber before him in Philadelphia? Who will shine today? The Bucs will win if: They can control the clock. The Panthers have the defensive firepower necessary to shut down any offense. If they're inspired and on their game today they could give the Bucs fits. However, if the Bucs QBs can make some key plays on third down and keep the chains moving, the Bucs will take control of the game by controlling the clock. As long as the Bucs dictate things on offense, they'll produce enough points to win even if this game stays close and is dominated by reserves. ...more

Bucs Defense vs. Panthers QB Matt Moore Bucs defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin can make life miserable for a young quarterback. He'll throw looks at them that they've never seen before and change them up just before the snap. Then, on top of that, he trots players such as Derrick Brooks, Ronde Barber and Greg White out there play after play. Even veteran QBs have a hard time moving the ball against this defense, so Moore would seem to have a long day ahead of him. He's a smart quarterback who doesn't make a lot of bad decisions or throws, but he lacks experience and mobility and that's where he loses any edge he might have had in this matchup.
