O'Brien took advantage of a stout defense that kept Lennard bottled up on its side of the field much of the night. That poor field possession finally caught up with Lennard in the second half. After a pair of sacks, Lennard had to punt from its own 2. Sickles moved the ball on the ensuing possession and O'Brien plunged in from 2 yards out for a 14-7 lead the Gryphons took into halftime.
