PALMETTO — Sam Robinson grimaced and Palmetto's Norman Haynes pumped his fist in the air after draining a 3-pointer at the buzzer before halftime, a shot that turned out to be a tell-tale sign for the Sebring boys basketball team. SEBRING –– It wasn't a movie, but Saturday night's basketball game between Avon Park and Sebring was fast and furious. The uptempo style of play was much more to Sebring's liking, as senior forward Sam Robinson scored a team-high 17 points, and the Blue Streaks forced 25 turnovers en route to a 56-40 win over the Red Devils. The Class 4A-District 10 win improved Sebring to 10-6 overall, 6-3 in district, and gave the Blue Streaks a season sweep of Avon Park. ...more
