I was told by a neighbor that I can use club soda to kill fire ants by pouring about two cups directly in the center of the mound. He said the carbon dioxide in the water displaces the oxygen, which suffocates the queen and the other ants, killing the whole colony within about two days. Is there any legitimacy to this? ...more

Action on climate, if it happens, will take the form of "cap and trade:" businesses won't be told what to produce or how, but they will have to buy permits to cover their emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases.
