Tampa Bay & Co., which promotes the visitors and convention business for Hillsborough County, hired a former visitors bureau and hotel executive in Arkansas and Missouri to fill the position of national sales manager for religious and multicultural markets. Sherri Brown, who worked for the Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau and was sales executive for the Renaissance Grand & Suites Hotel, the Adam's Mark Hotel and the Roberts Mayfair Wyndham Hotel in St. Louis, joins the 50-plus person Tampa Bay & Co. staff. ...more

Earlier this year a task force comprised of representatives from the Dunedin Chamber of Commerce, the city's Community Redevelopment Agency, Toronto Blue Jays and Downtown Merchants Association, plus hospitality entrepreneur Peter Kreuziger, met to consider how to better market the city. The Chamber of Commerce's marketing task force quickly sprang into action.
