JAGUARS ...23 TEXANS ...18 David Garrard threw two touchdown passes, Josh Scobee kicked three field goals and Jacksonville stayed in the AFC wild-card hunt with a victory against injury-depleted Houston. It was the Jaguars' fifth straight victory at home and came in front of an announced crowd of 42,079 - the lowest in franchise history. JAGUARS...24 JETS...22 Jacksonville boosted its playoff chances with a big road win and sent the Jets to another devastating loss. New York had no timeouts left. David Garrard took a knee on the next two plays, giving Scobee the opportunity to kick the winner. The Jets came out of their bye-week break making the same mistakes that plagued them in the first eight games. New York has lost five of six. ...more

The latest turnaround after a defeat came after Coach Jack Del Rio ripped his team's defensive effort in a 30-13 loss at the Titans, calling it "insulting, ugly and embarrassing." It worked, at least against Kansas City. Playing without RB Larry Johnson, the Chiefs managed little offense until late in the fourth quarter when Matt Cassel threw for two scores. ...more
