Police are investigating a suspected murder-suicide in Hunter's Green development in Tampa. Neighbors reported hearing gunshots in the area around midnight, according to police. This morning, a neighbor saw a deceased woman's body in the bushes outside of the home and called 911, said Andrea Davis, a spokeswoman for Tampa Police Department. The victims have been identified as Roy Lee Burgess and Anna Burgess, according to police. Their ages were not immediately available. After investigators responded to the home about 10 a.m. Saturday morning, the Tactical Response Team for Tampa police were called after someone noticed movement inside them home, according to police. After an hour later, the TRT entered the home and found a deceased male inside, according to Davis. Detectives will remain on scene for the next several hours conducting their investigation. ...more

TAMPA - Hillsborough County sheriff's detectives are investigating a double shooting today in the Palm River area that left a mother of two dead. Investigators think the woman's husband shot and killed her before turning the gun on himself, according to Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Debbie Carter.
