The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for Pasco County, which is in effect 2 to 8 a.m. Thursday. A three- to five-hour period of extremely cold weather will settle in the area tonight into Thursday morning with temperatures bottoming out in the upper 20s inland and to the lower 30s near the coast, a news release from Pasco County Emergency Management stated. .
